Let’s take a look at the course…
Our Train the Trainer Spill Response Course is a specialist programme designed for experienced trainers who are ready to deliver internal spill response training within their organisation. This 4-hour, in-person session equips participants with the technical knowledge, safety awareness, and instructional techniques necessary to train others in safe, effective spill management.
With a strong emphasis on trainer competence, this course is ideal for organisations seeking to build in-house spill control expertise and reduce reliance on external providers. Each session is limited to 4 delegates to ensure high levels of engagement, feedback, and personalised instruction.
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to confidently deliver basic spill response training to their colleagues and contribute to stronger site-wide environmental and safety practices.
What to expect:
The course is delivered either on-site at your premises (space permitting) or at our training centre in Rotherham. It includes both classroom-style theory and practical exercises tailored to real-life scenarios.
Delegates will engage in discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on tasks that deepen their understanding of spill response products and procedures. A 30-minute peer group presentation is required from each attendee, allowing them to practise their delivery and receive constructive feedback.
The course concludes with a pass/fail assessment. A 70% score is required to pass, and successful participants will receive a Certificate of Competence, valid for 2 years.
