What does the law say about Fire Doors?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, extends to England and Wales only.

Within The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it clearly states that the Responsible Person must ensure a suitable system of maintenance is in place, to satisfy the efficient working order and good repair of the premises and its contents. 

Further guidance can also be obtained from BS8214: 2016 (Timber-based fire door assemblies) & BS9999: 2017 (Standard for fire safety in commercial buildings)
